My Background

Growing up in the Bay Area and having the opportunity to work in a variety of industries such as retail management, cosmetic artistry, employment recruitment, and finance, I knew I wanted my career path to be one in which I could help people every day and make a difference in their lives, no matter how the economy and markets were performing. So, when my family and I moved to Redding, CA in May of 2007, I felt compelled to begin my journey as a professional insurance agent.

By January of 2008, I became licensed in both Life & Health insurance and have been licensed in Property & Casualty insurance since 2012 and was part of another successful State Farm Agent's office for over three years before getting the opportunity to run my own book of business. The Michelle Marks, State Farm Insurance Agency opened in January of 2016, yet we have over 30 years of combined State Farm Team Member experience in my office! I'm proud to say that my team and I are continually staying up to date on industry trends and deepening our insurance knowledge through continued education so that we are prepared for when our customers need us most.

In addition to my insurance licenses, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from California State University Sacramento, which has provided me with a unique perspective on understanding and connecting with people.

Being a dedicated State Farm Agent here in the vibrant community of Redding, CA has been incredibly rewarding both personally and professionally! However, my ultimate fulfillment comes from being a mother to my only son, and a wife of over 22 years to my hubby. Getting to live here in the North State and the beautiful surrounding areas of our community has been a dream come true and are very proud to call Redding our home!

My team and I are eager to help those in the areas of Redding, Anderson, Palo Cedro, Shasta Lake, Cottonwood, Red Bluff, Corning, and Mt. Shasta, CA to name a few.

Moreover, the Michelle Marks, State Farm Agency focuses on auto insurance, catering to a variety of vehicles such as motorcycles, trail and dirt bikes, ATV's and UTV's, as well as motor homes and trailers. You can depend on our office to help you select the coverage that suits your specific needs, so that you can enjoy your time on the road and worry less about the unexpected! Speaking of the unexpected, our team is not afraid to ask the tough questions about your current life and health insurance plans and what it would look like if you could no longer work, pay your bills, or even worse, pass away. We want to help you uncover those needs and see to it that you and your family are set up for financial security for years to come.

Community Involvement

Outside of my professional endeavors, I am actively involved in my community and a proud member of the North State Cancer League since 2010, as well as a dedicated member/dancer/performer of the Cascade Theatre Company from 2010-2019, and most recently back on stage this fall of 2024! Additionally, I am honored to serve as a Board Member of the University Preparatory School Musical Foundation since 2019, supporting the growth and development of young talent in the arts. I also take great pride in giving back to the thriving sports community that we have here in Shasta County by sponsoring various school teams and programs. I'm a big believer in what being part of a team can do for our youth by teaching teamwork, leadership skills and overcoming challenges by working together to achieve a common goal!

As a member of Business Network International (BNI) through the Redding Rockstar Referral Chapter, and the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), I am committed to building strong professional relationships and helping be part of a strong core of local business owners where integrity and service to others is our focus.
